Tippah County had unemployment rate of 6.5% in 2021

Tippah County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 616 people out of the 21,877 living in Tippah County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Tippah County has increased compared to the 6.1% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Tippah County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.8%.

Of the 8,915 people who had a job during that time, 5 were employed in the Armed Forces and 8,910 belonged to the civilian labor force.
