5.2% of citizens unemployed in Lee County in 2021

Lee County recorded an unemployment rate of 5.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,129 people out of the 83,388 living in Lee County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Lee County has decreased compared to the 5.6% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Lee County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.8%.

Of the 38,808 people who had a job during that time, 232 were employed in the Armed Forces and 38,576 belonged to the civilian labor force.
