Enrollment by Ethnicity: White was most represented background in Nettleton School District schools in 2021-22 school year

White students made up 67.5% of the 1,162 students enrolled in Nettleton School District schools during the 2021-22 school year, making them the most represented ethnicity, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

This is a 1.1% decrease from the previous school year.

Nettleton Intermediate School had the highest enrollment in the district with 461 students.

A snapshot of Nettleton School District schools showed 67.5% of students were white and 20% Black.

Nettleton School District roughly covers three schools and has a main office in Nettleton.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly a decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
