Enrollment by Ethnicity: White was most represented background in Corinth School District schools in 2021-22 school year

White students made up 50.5% of the 2,501 students enrolled in Corinth School District schools during the 2021-22 school year, making them the most represented ethnicity, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

This is a 5.7% decrease from the previous school year.

Corinth Elementary School had the highest enrollment in the district with 1,154 students.

A snapshot of Corinth School District schools showed 50.5% of students were white, 29.5% were Black, 11.9% were Hispanic, and 4.4% multiracial.

Corinth School District roughly covers three schools within Alcorn County and has a main office in Corinth.

Mississippi has continually struggled with public education. The most recent Report Card on American Education, from a right-leaning think tank, gave the state a C-. This is consistent with ratings stretching back nearly a decade.

The nonpartisan Education Week also ranked Mississippi schools as C- in their most recent analysis.
